The "Museo degli Alberghieri". But maybe it should be called the "Place of Memories".
Certainly this museum in Armeno is the only one of its kind in the world where hotel managers, simple cooks and grand chefs, unknown waiters and famous maitre d's, hotel porters and comis chefs have devotedly brought memories and pieces of life collected during their travels aroung the world.
Armeno is famous worldwide ad the "Home of Hotel and Restaurant Services". Over the last four centuries, thousands of people have left this strip of Cusiana land for kitchens, hotels and restaurants throughout the world.
The small museum contains working tools, photographs, written testimonies including menus from famous meeting, rare cooking books and many, many photos and newspapers.
They are a rich kaleidoscope of experience spanning a century and a half amongst the powerful people of the Land and the simple people, protagonists of everyday life.
Dictated by the saying that at the table, whoever is being served, for the cook of the waiter, is always the "King".
